About Ted *On Trial in His New Home*
*TED IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Ted by name, teddy bear by nature! This 70kg hunk of spunk is looking for an only dog home with someone who knows the breed and, given his size and strength, if you happen to have children it’s probably best that they’re teenagers as he may accidentally bowl little ones over. Ted has not been tested with cats so a cat-free home is also the go.
Affectionate, calm, loving, smart and naturally protective is how we describe Ted. He enjoys being groomed, going for rides in the car and walks in the bush. He loves water especially when it’s hot, and adores being given a bath. He plays with hardy toys and will chase a thrown ball, but may not always bring it back!
Ted is toilet trained and would be best suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle as he has lovely manners while inside and happily rests quietly on a mat. As with all Neapolitan Mastiff’s Ted does drool especially when he’s excited but hey what’s a bit of slobber between friends???!!!
Adorable Ted is a fairly quiet and docile lad with a lot of strength hence the importance of breed familiarity. He travels safely in vehicles and climbs into the back of a car enthusiastically. He could do with a bit more training and although the breed can be stubborn Ted is a fast learner. He has a low activity level but will need stimulation via daily strolls, treat balls and a reasonable size yard he can explore. Applicants should also have a willingness to cater to Ted’s specific care requirements such as crease and ear cleaning to avoid infections.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
