About Millie (on adoption trial)
Introducing this little tub of love known as Millie. She’s a very happy dog who would love nothing more than to snuggle up on the lounge with you, or even snuggle up in bed with you if you allowed it. She truly adores her people, both young and old, though sometimes her excitement can get the better of her so she would best in a home without small children.
Since coming into care, Millie has been busy learning the rules of the house and is learning some basic training. She now knows to wait until given the command to eat, or come inside and also knows ‘sit’ and ‘shake’. She is well on her way to learning ‘stay’, ‘drop’, ‘spin’, ‘bed, and ‘out’. She enjoys car rides and sleeps well in a crate overnight, and is happy to be in there at other times of the day too.
Millie would love a family that will take her out for regular walks, and who will continue her training so that she can become the best friend that she desires to be.
While Millie has been in care she has shown no interest in digging, jumping fences or even taking clothes off the line. Millie hasn’t been much of a barker while out in the yard, but when she’s heard strange noises outside at night she has barked at those.
Millie’s biggest love is people and she loves, loves, loves cuddles from her humans. Millie has so much potential to be a well behaved, loyal and loving companion to her human family and with the right family she will be amazing.
Millie is currently fostered with the resident dog however we feel Millie would be best suited in a home as an only dog.
