About Dominic
Hello. I am Dominic and I am a foster child of Silver Lining Pet Rescue. I am here writing my story in the hopes that I can find my forever home. My Mum, 3 brothers and I were rescued off death row in the pound. I know you are thinking how sad is that, that a tiny little life like mine could have ended before it had even begun, but unfortunately that is the plight of many of us out there. The great thing is we were saved and are now living in a foster home. For those of you that don’t know about foster homes, it’s where you are part of a family that love you and look after you until you can find a forever home. My foster home has humans, felines and canines. A bit mixed bunch but hey I get on with them all. I have foster brothers and sisters, and while I run around lots with the boys, with my sisters I play gentle. I have two canine brothers who are good to snuggle up with now that the nights are getting cooler. Ok, ok I admit I do like them for themselves and not just for their body heat. Now let me tell you about my foster humans. I love humans the best. When my foster Mummy comes home from work, or when she first gets up in the morning I jump up on her legs (claws always in) just to say “Hello, I am so happy to see you!“ We like to cuddle up together all the time, I gently put my hand on her face and I purr and purr just so she knows how happy I am to be given the chance to live a life and to know love. My foster Mummy tells me how handsome I am everyday, and how my coat has such an amazing shine it glistens as only a black cat coat can do. As much as I love my foster home I would like to find my forever home, so some little one can take my place and be saved just like I was. This is my story, and that is my wish. If you would like to meet me please email the rescue at fostersadoptslpr@gmail.com or pm the Silver Lining Pet Rescue Inc facebook page. (Please note: all our cats kittens are adopted as inside

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
