About Sasha
**Sasha will be looking for a very special home with a patient, confident owner who is experienced with timid dogs, dog behaviour and body language.
As described below Sasha will need a desexed male dog in her new home, homes that don't meet this criteria will not be considered **
Our special girl Sasha is a little pocket rocket! She's a smart, energetic girl who loves to be loved, go for walks, adventures in the bush and have a good game of tug/fetch.
Having had a very sheltered past for the first 5yrs of her life, Sasha has been in care for quite a long time as she received some much needed rehabilitation, help overcoming her fears, and experience the world and the people in it.
We have recently decided she is ready to find her new owner, one that will be able and eager to continue her current training and rehab. She will require strong leadership and someone willing to effectively communicate to her what is the right and wrong behaviour. When around an uncertain person, Sasha can become quite worried and nervous, hence her need for someone confident in handling dogs.
She has met and been exposed to small children, however due to her history and her possibility to have some set-backs in her progress, post-move, we will be looking at placing her in a home with no children.
Sasha is toilet trained and crate trained. While Sasha is not playful with other dogs, they helo with her confidence so for this reason only homes with a calm, confident, slightly larger desexed male dog in her new home who she can chill with and learn from.
She loves people, especially her 'person' but will take sone time to learn to trust new people, she would love someone to be around more often than not.
Having lived quite comfortably in the country, she would also prefer to live in a quieter neighbourhood, not near lots of noises and busy traffic.
Continued socialisation and positive outings is a must. She is constantly improving with each new experience and has become a much more confident girl, making her foster carer proud every single day.
Please only contact us if you think you may be able to provide Sasha with a loving, calm environment, and we can discuss more about her past behaviour.
Please don't enquire unless you have the type of home Sasha needs, she is a lovely girl but isn't suited to the average home.
Sasha is located in Ballarat.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
