About Arya 🌈
This adorable little girl is Arya....she's our 10 week old Brindle Frenchie, and quite the little charmer! Arya is in care with 4 other dogs and enjoys the company of everyone. She would be best suited to a home where she had the company of another smaller, playful dog, and a decent size yard to run around. She's extremely playful, with her favourite toys being anything that squeaks!
Arya is quite content to spend time outside with her doggie friends and loves to soak up the sunshine. We are currently going through the process of toilet training and follows the lead of the other dogs when outside, using the grass to do her business. She is also learning to sit when getting treats or meals and is very patient when dinner preparation is happening.
For such a tiny little girl, she has quite a big personality....weighing in at a little over 3kg, Arya can hold her own when playing with the 'big' dogs, often using her back end to nudge them when playing. She is quite a mouthy pup when excited so bite inhibition training is in progress....but when this little girl is ready for sleep, she loves nothing more than to snuggle in your arms or in your lap.
As with most pups, everything she finds in her path is given the chew test, so plenty of chew toys and tasty bones will need to be on hand. Whilst Arya enjoys spending time outside, the French Bulldog breed are primarily inside dogs. They adore their humans and often expect that your bed is also their bed.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation for Arya and also someone who understands the needs and health issues of the French Bulldog. She will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered and socialised girl. Arya will only be a small dog when fully grown. She is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we are sure that she will grow up to be an extremely loyal, well mannered family member.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours llike toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
So if you've done your research and decided that you can provide everything this girl needs, please send us an enquiry. Arya is booked in for desex on 4th June and will be available to take home from 6th June. She is located in Glenning Valley on the Central Coast NSW.

Spinal X-ray
Due to their 'screw' tails, they are susceptible to a condition known as 'hemivertebra of the spine'. When hemivertebra is present in your dog’s tail, it typically is not an issue. When it is in their spine, it can lead to serious problems. The deformity of the vertebrae will lead to a twisting of the spine which can compress your dog’s spinal cord. Hemivertebra can be minor, where only one or two vertebrae have the deformity and the dog does not experience any clinical signs. In some cases, the dog will experience minor symptoms; in other cases, the condition will significantly impact the dog’s ability to function.
Arya will be tested for this condition at time of desex.
Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
