About Sadie
Hello darlings, my name is Sadie. I am a very special girl, looking for a very special home.
I arrived into care on ANZAC Day with two little kittens. I was found as a stray with no microchip and no one every came forward to claim me. It was obvious from the start just how amazing I was. I was not scared of new people and was very relaxed and calm. Strange people were able to hold me and I would just relax in their arms. I just knew I was safe and could trust these kind people.
The first thing that was noticed about me was that I had a very bloated tummy. My foster mum was worried I may be pregnant again so took me straight into the vet for an ultrasound. I was such a good girl and purred and kneaded the air with my little paws throughout the whole thing. Even the vets fell in love with me!
I wasn't pregnant - thank goodness - just gassy. After my ultrasound I had to have a couple of blood tests which again, I was very brave for, and that's when we discovered that I was FIV positive. This made everyone very sad, as it does make it harder to rehome cats with health issues, but everyone agreed that I was so loving and sweet that someone would see me, fall in love and choose to adopt me.
If my gorgeous eyes don't make you call in love, my sweet nature will. I am extremely affectionate. I love cuddles and pats and will happily curl up in your bed or on a window hammock as I just love to sun myself. I need to be an inside only cat due to my condition and I must also be an only cat. Whilst cats with FIV can live in harmony with other cats, I am not too fond on sharing the attention and much prefer my humans all to myself.
I am litter trained and very clean.
So what are you waiting for. Please give me a chance today.
Medical notes
I am FIV Positive. What is FIV?
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a viral disease which affects the immune system of domestic cats. Whilst FIV cannot be transferred to humans, it acts in the same way as the human form of HIV, destroying the immune system and leaving a cat susceptible to infections and disease. Once the cat has been infected, FIV can then progress to feline acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, otherwise known as Feline AIDs.
Apart from this disease, I am a happy, healthy cat with no other health issues. I am expected to live a long and happy life
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
