About Buddy
Children 7 Yrs. +
No cats.
No other dogs
Hi my name is Buddy, I was rescued by SRV from death row at a pound, phew! So I’m a lucky boy because my time was up!!
I’m in foster care at the moment with a lovely family including children that are 7 & 10 years old who I absolutely adore.
I’m a very chilled out boy, I love to just hang out with my humans, I love being inside when you’re home but happy to go outside also, I’m extremely well behaved.
I need to learn some commands but I’m so chilled out it hasn’t caused any problems with my foster family, although I would like to go to obedience school with my new owners so they can gain leadership skills with me and so I can show you how smart I am with learning all that they teach us dogs at obedience school.
I enjoy going for walks and I walk well on the lead with no pulling, I have hip dysplasia but it doesn’t seem to bother me much, I don’t need long walks because of my hips, SRV have started me on a course of medication to help me with that problem.
I love playing with my ball but I can get obsessed with it so I shouldn’t play with it for too long so it needs to be removed from me after little while, I also can’t have it thrown too much as it could cause problems with my hips with too much running around chasing the ball.
I will suit a family/couple who are home quite a bit as I love being around people, my favourite thing is getting lots of pats, I sleep inside on my own bed beside my foster carers bed which I really like, I’m house trained.
My foster family said I’m such a sweet sweet boy and hard not to love.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
Please go to Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application.
Medical notes
Hip dysplasia - being treated with pentasan injections and diet. Doesn't worry Buddy. Just need to make sure he doesn't over do it with long walks and too much playing. He doesn't seem to know anything is wrong with his hips..
