About Boonie
Boonie is a gorgeous 10.5 year old Jack Russell Mix waiting patiently in foster care for his forever home to come along.
He had an undescended, cancerous testicle when he came into care which has since been removed during his desexing surgery. Unfortunately for Boonie, it had already spread to his lymphatic system but our vet said he had a couple of great years ahead of him before it starts to get really bad. We are really glad he’ll be able to find an amazing home to retire to. His new family will need to get him vet checked every 6 months to see how he’s going.
Boonie is affectionately known as Poker Face, for his still, stoic presence in the house. It makes his daily silly moments all the more enjoyable.
Boonie loves to follow you around the house like a shadow, always quiet and incredibly well behaved. He is perfectly toilet trained and his manners are immaculate.
He loves to play chasey with his foster mum, taking turns running around the house at full speed. His favourite thing in the world is his daily walk time and he happily trots along for as long as you like, giving you the happiest dance you’ve seen when he realises what’s about to happen. We would love a home that can walk him daily, he gets at least 1 hour a day in his foster home.
Oh, and food, we cannot forget this little guy’s appreciation for food.
Boonie is selective about the dogs he likes and so can go to a home with another dog if they get along. He doesn't like cats and other animals. He pulls on the lead when near another dog, so we are looking for someone willing to work with him.
He knows to give you space, is content sleeping on his bed during the day while you’re at work, and equally happy to come curl up at the base of your bed at night.
Boonie is going to make someone very happy. If you’re interested in adopting Boonie, who is in Melbourne, please fill out and application form.
