About Simba
Meet Simba our cheeky Maltese - a real little cutie with loads of pawsonality!
His carers describe Simba as affectionate, playful and friendly - what more could you want. Simba is very friendly with adults, children and other dogs. He loves to play with his squeaky toys and balls and will present you with a toy when he is in a playful mood - so cute! Simba is being fostered with other dogs both big and small and gets on with them all. He is also being fostered with cats but he does have a tendency to chase when tempted so a cat free home would be kinder.
Simba is housetrained but does have an occasional accident when left alone. He has learned to use the dog flap in his foster home so having a dog flap in his new home should help his progress.
Simba is not destructive but will bark if someone comes to the door and can bark at strangers or other animals. Simba would benefit greatly from training as he does pull on the leash and needs work on his recall to curb his selective hearing; he is eager to please so training should be fun and he knows 'sit' and 'stay' so he is part way there and he is a bright boy.
Simba would love a 30 minute walk a day and time for a run and play. Simba loves to be with his people but he is not a demanding dog as long as you have time to give him cuddles and a lap to snuggle up on.
Simba would do well in a home where someone is at home most of the time and children are 6+. He needs to have access to a garden that doesn't face a road or public area as he would have a tendency to bark at any activity. Simba wants to be part of a family that will take him out and about and involve him in their activities. If you are interested in this sweet boy please send us an adoption enquiry.
