About Harper
Introducing Harper the tripod!
Get ready to fall in love. Harper is an amazing girl who will have you falling in love at first sight.
Harper had a crappy start to like. Left at the vet to be put to sleep with an injured leg after being hit by a car. That’s when we stepped in and rescued this girl.
After many xrays and CT scans And consulting with the specialist vets at SASH small animal specialist hospital it was decided the best option for Harper was to amputate her leg.
We were very nervous picking Harper up after her surgery thinking she would be abit clumsy on 3 legs but she wasn’t! She is truely incredible and nothing will stop this girl. She adapted instantly to life on 3 legs. Keeping her still during her recovery was a challenge. She wanted to run the first day.
Fast forward 5weeks and Harper is loving her new lease on life. She has had her first beach trip, enjoyed bush walking and had many adventures to cafes enjoying being a social butterfly.
Harper lives for adventure as soon as she sees her lead she can’t contain her excitement.
She jumps straight into the car and travels quite well in the car.
Harper has great house manners and has done place training while in care.
She loves snuggling in bed with her humans! Snuggling is her favourite thing to do.
You will not meet a bigger love bug. Harper loves all humans of all sizes.
Harper sleeps in a crate and doesn’t make a peep all night. This girl is crazy about tug of war she absolutely loves her rope toys and will nudge you with the rope to get you to play with her. She also loves fetch and is great at bringing the ball back!
Harper loves loves loves the water. She spends a lot of time in her shell pool and was straight in the water at the beach. Although Harper has 3 legs this didn’t stop her from trying to swim at the beach. She does need supervision and more practice in the water but she is a true beach babe.
Harper loves to chase the hose so watering the garden will be a challenge.
Harper loves to chat she is a vocal girl who likes to tell you all about her day. She tells you how excited she is to be out and about also.
She has so much personality.
Harper can have a little bit of separation anxiety but it does settle with a routine and training.
Harper is great with other dogs. She could go to a home with larger size dogs. She can be to rough with smaller dogs. She would be great as an only dog also.
We wouldn’t recommend Harper is rehomed with cats.
Like all puppies Harper will greatly benefit from training classes.
Ideally we would love an interactive home that will take Harper on lots of adventures and keep up her socialisation. She really deserves the best life!
This dog will connect with you on a deep level.
Do you have a social lifestyle and can offer Harper an amazing forever home?
