About Kiyomi
Kiyomi means 'Rare beauty' in Japanese. There really is no other way to describe this beautiful girl, she is a stunning, gentle angel.
Kiyomi has had it very tough. She came into our clinic with the ranger, after the council received a report that a mother cat and her three young kittens had been dumped in a public toilet in a local park, inside a cat carrier. There aren't many times when I am personally reduced to tears; hardly anything comes as a shock in animal welfare. But seeing this beautiful mother cat, terrified, trying to do the only thing she wants to do, protect her kittens, really hurt. We knew we had to change things for her, and give her and her kittens the bright future that she is so deserving of.
Kiyomi's kittens will be old enough to leave her in just over a week, so we want to start looking for her forever home as soon as possible. She has really touched our hearts, and we are committed to finding her a beautiful home.
Kiyomi's personailty-
She is a lovely, gentle cat. Although she will need time and patience when she first comes to live with you, she will soon settle in and come out for pats and cuddles. She loves smooching against your hand and face, and she really enjoys a pat all he way down to her back, where she will show you her gratitude by purring and sticking her tail straight up in the air. She has a beautiful, medium-length coat, and now that she is receiving the best nutrition and being flea treated monthly, her tail will blossom into a magnificent squirrel like tail. Her little ear fluff is just adorable.
If you think you could offer Kiyomi the calm, gentle and loving forever home she deserves, please get in touch.
She will be desexed next week, and has alreayd bene vaccinated and microchipped.
Adoption details
Please contact the clinic and ask to speak with Rosie, our receptionist and cat adoption officer.
All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
