About Elky
Elky has spent most of her young life in foster care after a few unsuccessful and uncommitted adoptions in her younger days. She is now looking for a home that adores the staffy breed and understands the need for patience and committment with a new family member.
Elky is sweet natured and has made leaps and bounds whilst in foster care with her current family. She shares her foster home with a range of other dogs but she would much prefer to be the only Queen in your life as she adores the attention from her humans.
She isn't one that is suitable to live a highly socialised life with other animals, although she may suit an out of house dog friend here or there.
She is keen to please, and happy to hang out around the house for the day, she doesnt show any issues in a home with full time workers and is both good inside, crate trained and also toilet trained.
She has excelled in her basic obedience and is great on leash.
An only animal home is best suited to this girl, and she does best in a home without poultry, cats or livestock. She has shown to be kind to dog savvy kids but we would recommend a home with kids over the age of 10.
Elky is really just looking for a family to give her a fighting chance, with her foster father happy to help the new home to make sure she adjusts nice and balanced.
Elky is located near the Maitland area of NSW, and her adoption fee is $400
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
