It feels a little awkward to say this, but we need your help.
You’re probably thinking PetRescue will be fine if you don’t give anything today. Because someone else always gives, right? But only 0.05% of visitors to PetRescue donate. And here's the thing... If every pet lover using the website donated just $15 this tax time, in less than one week we'd raise enough funds to make sure we’re here for another year - helping more people like you and thousands more rescue pets in need. So, if PetRescue is useful to you, please take a moment to help. Thank you.
It only takes a minute to create happiness like this!
Your kind gift will support PetRescue’s animal welfare programs and free digital services, including Australia’s best free pet adoption platform that connects more than 9,000 rescue pets in need of homes with 20,000 potential adopters every day!
Give monthly, and you’ll become part of our passionate community of adoption advocates invested in a future where every pet is safe, respected and loved.
All gifts over $2 are tax deductible and give all the good feels, knowing that you’re creating happiness and helping to save lives.

Elky is an adorable female staffy x that has been bounced around a fair bit in her young life; she is therefore looking for a patient, committed and experienced dog home.
She is a high energy staffy x and will need an active home that is willing to take her out and about daily, someone who loves bush walking or hiking would suit her perfectly.
She is suitable to live as an only dog, but may suit living with another dog if their personalities and play style match well as she is currently in care with a pack of up to 10 other varying dogs.
She is well trained inside, toilet trained and crate trained.
Elky is best suited to a home with older kids at least 10 years and up as she is quite unsure about the unpredictable movements and actions of younger kids. She is not suitable to cats, free range poultry or livestock but is friendly with small dogs.
She is best suited to a home that is not first time based and has some experience with handling various styles of dogs as she can be quite protective over her new humans.
As a rescue her new home will be supported with her ongoing training and management to make sure she settled properly into her new home with the correct boundaries.
She will need secure and safe fencing 5ft and over.
Elky is located near the Maitland area of NSW, and her adoption fee is $400
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
