Beautiful Zara is an 18 month old tabby female who has been in foster care for 180 days without any interest.
We are looking for a very particular family for Zara. She was surrendered by her owners after they felt she had developed aggression issues after desexing. The vets determined she had anxiety and was suffering from PTSD - the offer to put her to sleep was rejected by SAFE and a very patient, loving and committed foster carer stepped in to give her another chance.
Zara has learnt how to become a cat again; with the company and assistance of the many baby fosters that have shared her home. Zara has shown zero aggression towards her foster carer and family. She has not needed to be medicated for any anxiety or PTSD issues.
Zara will need a patient quiet home, with older children - or maybe a quiet homebody type couple or single. Zara uses the litter tray and now sits beside her carer. She may never be a lap cat; but she has come such a long way; her carers feel it is a great time to advertise for a family of her own.
