Sweet little Mackrel came to the RSPCA as a stray with little experience with households and people.
After spending time in foster this gentle boy is loving being an indoor kitty! He is a little busy body and just loves to play with any and all cat toys! Mackrel is looking for a calm indoor only home without children. This timid young cat is still somewhat hand-shy so needs a peaceful environment with a kind patient person who is not too handsy and lets him take things at his own pace.
Mackrel is very polite and has great social skills with other cats. He plays very happily with other cats if they like that, or alternatively gives them space if they prefer! He has also been in foster with two small older dogs, and lived harmoniously with them.
Although Mackrel often moves away when hands come towards him, he does like curling up on his persons legs on the bed or couch and has just started purring away to some cheek and chin scratches at these relaxed times.
If you are looking for instant affection, little Mackrel may not be able to give you that, but if you are happy to take things slow and enjoy the gradual process of building trust and a bond, this sweetheart will be grateful to have a great life with you!
