About Isabella
This adorable little lady is Isabella....she's our 20 month old Blue Brindle Frenchie, and an absolute stunner! Isabella is in care with 3 other dogs and gets along great with everyone. Although she can be a little nervous at times, she loves to snuggle with her humans and has quite a playful personality. Isabella would be best suited to a home where she had the company of another smaller, playful dog or her humans, and a decent size yard to run around.
Due to their 'screw' tails, they are susceptible to a condition known as 'hemivertebra of the spine'. When hemivertebra is present in your dog’s tail, it typically is not an issue. When it is in their spine, it can lead to serious problems. The deformity of the vertebrae will lead to a twisting of the spine which can compress your dog’s spinal cord. Hemivertebra can be minor, where only one or two vertebrae have the deformity and the dog does not experience any clinical signs. In some cases, the dog will experience minor symptoms; in other cases, the condition will significantly impact the dog’s ability to function.
Isabella has been tested for Hemivertebra of the spine and X-rays have shown that she does have a few vertebra's affected. At this stage, she is not showing any signs of having issues but there is a chance that may change in the future....However, her lifestyle will play a big part. Running around the yard, daily walks and playtime with her doggie friends is fine, but jumping up on beds, leaping in the air to grab the frisbee or ball, or any activities that involve twisting of the spine should be avoided.
For this reason, this sweet little girl will need a special home.....one who understands the issues that French Bulldogs face, one who is financially secure so that she would get the treatment she needs (if any spinal issues become evident down the track) and one who will do their absolute best to make sure this little lady has the very best life possible.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
So if you've done your research and decided that you can provide everything this girl needs, please send us an enquiry. Isabella has had all her vet work completed and now ready to head off to her forever home. She is located in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous girl. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
