About Jess ~ Border Collie (on trial 10/7/19)
Got space and energy to give Jess a run? Jess is a happy and healthy short haired 18 month old Border Collie. Playful and smart, Jess is looking for a family that will get her moving, and is eager to learn.
She was born and bred on land near Forster. Jess had a great upbringing in the perfect environment, but due to family circumstances, it’s time she found a new home.
Jess socialises daily with dogs in neighbouring properties, and lives with her brother Max from the same litter. She gets along well with other dogs, but can be a little bossy around her brother Max when he is engaging in play with the family.
Her day consists of lounging around with the family, inside at home, and playing with her brother. Jess loves being around the family. Every afternoon Jess and Max burn off some energy with a very decent run around the back paddock.
Jess’s ideal new family must be active. What you’ve heard about Border Collies is right, they are high energy and need something to do. A working breed, they need to be stimulated and given plenty of exercise.
Jess doesn’t get jumpy, so should be fine in a house with kids. Because of her high energy and speed, she isn’t a good fit for a home with elderly people, as she can bit of a trip hazard. Jess hasn’t been tested with cats, so needs a home with other dogs or as an only dog. Jess does love to play with other dogs though!
Jess has been trained well and has good recall. She would thrive on more training, as she is very smart and needs a lot of mental stimulation. She spends time both inside and out, sleeps inside and is toilet trained.
Jess’s ideal home will give her room to run. Small suburban yards just won’t do! She is a fine dog, a stunning black coat, white socked, short haired Border Collie, who is looking for the right fit to call her forever home!
