About Evie
We had the pleasure of meeting Evie before coming into care we were advised she was a little special and has some specific needs. This gave us a chance to assess her - since being in care Evie has presented her carers with some very 'special’ and ‘odd’ behaviour. Simply put Evie is not a big sleeper and does have some issues with depth perception - sometimes running into furniture as her mind is on other things.
After observing this little one for a while and having a vet health check, it appears Evie has a problem processing visual information. While her eyes work just fine, her brain doesn't seem to process the information as it should. We do not know how this was caused but this will not stop anyone from falling in love with her.
Evie is just over one years old, she's vibrant, happy, healthy and loving. Evie does need to trust you before she will allow you to pick her up and give her cuddles - let her come to you in her own time and you will be rewarded with a cheeky smile like none other.
Since being in care we have had the pleasure of gaining Evie's trust and enjoying her quirks. We have seen her accept and deal with changes well - We know she’d best suited a quiet home with a daily routine and her people she can trust. She needs daily mental stimulation and mostly importantly a four legged friend. With all this in her life, Evie will continue to blossom.
Evie is not a lap dog and would not suit a household where someone wants to pet her all day and no children under the age of 6 please unfortunately little children will stress her trying to pick her up constantly.
Evie's favourite place to be is as close to her humans as possible, With her zinging around and around she can become quite a tripping hazard!!
She would best suit a household with another dog. Any size dog will do, as long as they're friendly and ready to play play play. Evie is also cat friendly - she helpfully cleans her feline sibling's face daily
With all this said, our little Evie truly is a sweet girl. She just wants to be part of a family who's number one priority are their furry family members and who will adapt their environment to suit.
