About Anika (bonded pair)
Anika is a desexed stock coated registered bred female German Shepherd who is five years old and is in care at Taree.
Anika was purchased from a registered breeder at four years of age after she had had a number of litters. Her former owner purchased her as an older dog and then purchased a young male puppy to keep her company. We have found Anika to be gentle girl, extremely devoted to her humans and a quiet calm dog.
She is very bonded to her best fur friend Noble a young 17 month old desexed male German Shepherd who she has claimed as her own puppy.
These two beautiful shepherds are looking for a caring home where they can live together and be part of the family. Noble and Anika have lived with children aged eight years up and have been walked by the 12 year old.
Both walk well on lead and are voice responsive to commands. Noble could have his basic obedience reinforced but both are good natured dogs.
Neither dog has had contact with stock or horses, but they show minimal prey drive and are yet untested with cats or pocket pets.
For more information on Anika and Noble please click the “enquire for this pet” hyper link on the petrescue screen.
Noble's profile can be seen here https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/714006
Medical notes
Anika is from a registered breeder with her breeding name being Curujo Angel Anika. Anika is desexed and fully immunised and will come hydrobathed and professionally groomed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
