About Charlie
- Charlie is a lovely, intelligent dog, very quick to learn and eager to please. He will bond strongly with a future owner.
- He will 'sit', 'stay', 'wait', 'drop' and give you his paw. (He will also now relieve himself on command...handy prior to a car ride!). He absolutely adores a ride in the car, during which he is very well behaved.
- He also really enjoys his daily brush.
- He loves a walk and after the initial excitement of being out and about, settles down quite quickly to trotting happily beside you and preferring to stay close by throughout the walk. During encounters with dogs/cats/people on walks, he displays a normal interest and moves on, preferring to stay with his own people than join others for a play.
- He is generally a quiet dog but will let you know if anyone is around; quietening again when reassured. He has shown no destructive behaviour while in foster care (unless you count a couple of over-sized tennis balls!).
- Charlie would be best suited to being an only dog with someone who is home most of the time.
- Charlie has shown good behaviour with children and we would prefer Charlie's new home only had older children or no children at all.
- We are looking for an experienced Shepherd home so Charlie can finally have the close partnership all Shepherds want.
Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
