About Champ
Champ is very loyal, high energy and very much a terrier at heart. He does have issues with cats and other dogs. When he walks on a lead he pulls so a harness is required. He has always been walked regularly and despite training, still pulls. He knows basic commands such as sit and stay.
He equally enjoys lazing on the lounge watching tv or going out on adventures and meeting new people.
Champ will need to be in a home with no young children as they stress him and he becomes defensive, he has shown no signs of aggression in care.
He would ideally suit someone that is home and willing to have him by your side. Champ has been sleeping in my bed and the bedroom floor and is toilet trained, however has had a couple of accidents which i suspect is from a new environment.
Champ likes to dig at fences if there is another dog on the other side, he has been known to escape however does return so he will need secure fencing.
Due to the terrier in him he can become focussed on something and it is difficult to break his focus.
He has travelled okay in the car short distances.
Champ requires regular grooming/ brushing due to his fur type and length otherwise it will become matted. He enjoys being brushed!
Medical notes
Champ has a cyst on the front of his chest. This has been checked annually and is not growing or causing any pain.
Due to the possibility of allergies he may require a modified lifestyle to reduce the risk of flare ups - including diet, grooming etc as Champ has recently completed medication for inflammation in 1 ear, this is not ongoing.
Adoption details
Champ is available now subject to ongoing treatment being maintained for allergies and follow up vet check in early May.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
