About Hiro
*In foster care in Dulwich Hill, Sydney*
An absolutely delightful kitten with a calm 'cruiser' personality, Hiro is the purrfect mix of independent and affectionate!
He has handsome white paws and interesting stripes on his gorgeous tabby coat. When his foster carers are home he enjoys being a part of the household action; when they're out, he's more than content to keep himself entertained.
Food (including leftovers if nobody's watching) is one of Hiro's favourite things, so the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach!
You'll fall in love with Hiro because...
1) He has a magnificent, car-engine purr. It's easily activated by having a conversation with him (he adores being spoken to!), or giving him a long, loving pat.
2) One of his hobbies is carrying his toy mouse around in his mouth like a trophy. Adorable!
3) He's a sensitive, soulful fellow who has bonded with his foster sister and likes sitting next to her while she reads. He can't wait to find his amazing new home and build a 'forever bond' with you, too!

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm quite an adaptable boy, though I can be a little shy around new people. It doesn't take me long to warm up, though! A home environment with some stimulation would suit me best - I'd love some company (older kids or another friendly pet) and outdoor access (a secure enclosure or courtyard would be awesome!).
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium to high - though I'm very self-sufficient and happy to play with my toys by myself. I tend to relax in the day, with a bit of room-to-room exploration and occasional bug-stalking in the mix. In the evening you'll find me tussling with champagne corks, ping-pong balls, toy mice and dangling objects of any kind!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Because I can get a bit excited when I play, children aged 5 and older will be my ideal playmates!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I haven't grown up with any other pets in the house, but I seem to have made friends with several neighbourhood cats who visit the front yard. I talk to them (in a friendly way) through the screen door. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy having a furry housemate!
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
