About Harleyquin
Harleyquin was a stray that was being fed by an elderly lady, who got her vet work done and let her live on her property with her mum Pippa and sister Cuddles. Sadly the lady went into care and then passed away, and the cats, while still being fed, were left to themselves and lost a lot of the socialisation that they had gained.
It has taken a while for that socialisation to be regained, but together, these girls have come such a long way. They are extremely bonded and need to go to a loving home together. Harleyquin is the most friendly of the verandah cats. She was a stray and was not socialised as a kitten, as a result she's a bit nervous with people. She quite likes a stroke and a pat (especially at food time) but still gets very nervous when picked up. This is slowly changing. Harlequin is already smoochy at dinner time but needs to be approached slowly if you want a pat. A nervous cat like Harleyquin will give their loyalty and love to those who make the effort to win their trust and are wonderful lifelong feline companions.
These girls draw their confidence from each other and support each other and oh my, they LOVE to play together! Trust us, you won't need a TV. These girls are entertainment enough!!
Harleyquin is a very attractive tortoiseshell cat . She's been outside but is quite happy to now be an inside cat. Cat People will provide resources and training for anyone adopting Harleyquin, to help her transition from verandah stray to loving indoor companion. If you want to make the effort with this gorgeous girl, we'll support you all the way.
Cat People will provide resources and training for anyone adopting these girls to help continue to develop their social skills and human relationships. The girls really are the perfect companions, they've just had a rough start and need an understanding parent to provide a safe home that is full of acceptance and love.
The girls have a special price of $250 for both but we will only let them go to the right person. Someone who appreciates that some cats are like fine art, not for everyone but definitely right for the right person!
NB: The girls are fine around other cats but have not been tested around dogs.
Harleyquin is a healthy raw fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010000296781). She is available for adoption right now!
