About Kobi
Kobi is a sweet quirky, but very shy cat, however once he is used to his new surrounds and people, he comes out of his shell and will chill with you on the bed or couch, trilling to request pats. This is very enjoyable to do as he has the most luxurious dense soft fur that invites a lot of touching. He is not a fan of sitting directly on your lap, but will happily sit near you (occasionally he will sit on you, but only if there is a blanket or a quilt to hide what he is climbing on).
He is quite happy to chill out all day on his own with a handful of cat toys (he is a fan of balls) whilst his person is a work, even if they work long hours. He is quite good at getting pingpong balls out from underneath the furniture. He has also be taught not to attack knitting, even when the string is moving in an attention grabbing way. That being said, if you put a long ribbon haning from your pocket then walk around the house, he will sometimes chase you attacking the ribbon. He doesn't climb on the benches in the kitchen (at least not when being observed...). He is starting to get the confidence to explore his foster carers courtyard.
Kobi's ideal house would have:
No other pets, including other cats or kittens.
A quite house with only one or two people, and not too much entertaining at home.
A window that he can look out (and if it has a screen smell the outside).
A no shoes in the house policy (Kobi is terrified of clompy, noisy shoes, but is ok with soft soles eg slippers or ugg boots).
Quite, cat proofed courtyard to explore (optional).
Kobi would be happy living in an apartment, with a person who works full time. If this is you, Kobi would love to hear from you
Kobi is a healthy cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000009386678) He is ready for adoption right now! Source code: EE101165
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
