About Otter
Oh little Otter, he is the the cutest! Almost half the size of his litter mates, but don't be fooled! He is busy! Otter loves to be involved with everything and everyone! He LOVES dogs and has attached himself quite strongly with his greyhound foster sister. He follows her around, entirely smitten, hoping she will include him
on her next adventure. Otter by name, otter by nature, little Ott dog has shown quite an interest in water, loving to explore and keep busy and the water is no exception.
Otter was bottle raised from 6 days old, he only knows the warmth of inside a home and the love of his foster mum and 4 legged foster siblings. He was raised with 3 big dogs, 1 tiny one and an ancient cat! Otter is extremely respectful of the older dogs. Whilst Otter is busy he is also quite sensible, listening and taking on board training etc
Otter has experience in a crate, play pen and in a secure yard. He also loves the cars, having been bottle raised he is used to going everywhere with his mum. Otter has only ever slept inside at night, he would love this to continue.
The perfect home for Otter is someone who wants their dog to a big part of their life, cafe visits, hikes, dog school, beach visits, river runs, you name it, Otter wants to do it! He wants to be out and about and he wants to be his family's number one. Otter would thrive in a home with a doggy sibling or someone who is home most of the time. Otter hasn't been raised with children however he has been exposed to many, and he thinks they are pretty amazing..... all the fun!
Otter is clearly smart, he will thrive with training and it will be a necessity given how busy he is! He also thinks treats and human attention are amazing, so training will be fun for him too!

We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
