About Allan
Little Allan was collected from a pound.
He was picked up as a stray, with no identification, or microchip.
He was held for the legal period.
Now he is with us.
He has been recently desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested.
This little boy is a sweet little boy, but does have a feisty side.
He doesn’t respond well to loud voices, and can become a little reactive.
We are putting that down to him being stressed, and not knowing what has happened to him the last few weeks.
He is a little fussy with his food, but we have found out he loves cut up chicken necks! Yay
He loves treats as well.
He needs a home where he isn’t on his own for long periods as he can get a little anxious.
He is great with other dogs, but gets a little competitive at dinner time.
We don’t recommend young children with him as he can get a little feisty if he isn’t happy.
His foster carer has described him, as her shadow.
He travels well in the car,and enjoys tagging along for the odd excursion.
This boy would love to find his forever home ASAP.
We believe he is a Jack Russell x Papillon or Maltese?
Allan’s adoption fee is $400
Medical notes
Allan has two Grade3 patellar on both his back legs.
Majority of small dogs have the patellar grades.
Doesn’t affect him at all.
If you are concerned, we are happy for you to speak to one of our vets regarding this.
Adoption details
We shortlist families who will fit the dogs needs and contact them to arrange an introduction. If everything works well, after a timeout to be sure, an adoption agreement is completed. As the adoption donation is transferred the dog will pass into your hands.
Our Adoption Donation Fees vary. Elderly animals or animals with health problems can differ from those for young or purebred dogs.
All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. They are bathed and groomed, and have had a consultation with our vet who discusses appropriate treatment which we arrange while the dog is in our care. All dogs are desexed at our expense.
We understand that in the first week, issues occasionally occur where training or behaviour modification is impractical and if no other recourse is available and the dog needs to be rehomed, we will agree to refund part of the adoption fee less $100 administration fee. Due to our system processes this will not be instantaneous but will go into your bank account within the next 10 working days.
After the sixth day, we require first refusal if the dog is to be found a different home, but you will not be eligible for a refund.
