Basil

Hello, my name is Basil and I am very pleased to meet you! I was born in a rural backyard and lived there for 7 months before I was brought into the RSPCA. As you can imagine, I was very overwhelmed and scared of my new surroundings, I took quite a lot of time to begin to trust people. But look at me now!! I decided that pats and cuddles are way more fun than hiding and feeling sad. I very much enjoy head bumps and chin scratches, and have recently begun exploring around larger rooms! I have had positive reactions towards other cats so far, but would need a slow introduction to other cats if I were to live with them long term. Children over the age of 8 will be considered depending on interactions here at the shelter, and their cat experience, given my background. I may take a little while to become accustomed to a proper domestic home, but I think I will LOVE it when I get to know my new family.
