Hello, my name is Mapleton
I am a two-year-old boy, super good looking kelpie cross. So much more handsome than my twin brother! ;-) Just ask me. The almost as good looking bro already has a forever home but I am still looking for mine.
I am a very loving boy, I like to think of myself as a lapdog, am very loyal and expect lots of pats and love. I thoroughly enjoy a good game, a jog or adventure and some mental stimulation to use up the kelpie energy. I have recently been learning some new tricks and would love the chance to show you.
I need a family that will continue my training, including both on lead walks and off lead adventures. I feel more in control running in nature than I do when I’m being walked around the neighbourhood and have just discovered the beach in the last couple of weeks, definitely more of a nature man than a suburbs man.
My foster family have older kids, who I adore! I get very excited with little kids and want to lick them.... they don’t always enjoy this 😀 I have grown up with another dog and enjoy doggie company. I have not been tested with cats, I will probably want to lick them too, they may also not enjoy it.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. To meet, adopt or find out more details on this animal, please fill in our adoption application at our website- http://www.safehavenanimalrescueinc.com Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
2. Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend bringing your current dog/cat as this may stress the feline out.
3. The animal cannot be taken on the day unless prior arranged (over 2 hr round trip), and the adoption agreement and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. Once collected, the 10 day settling period begins, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care into a suitable foster home. The adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after this trial period there will be no refund made.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork, including the Change of Microchip Details form, is sent via email.
