Arthur is an almost 11 year old Maltese cross but don’t let his age fool you as he is in very good health and is still very much full of beans. He loves his walks and will dance around the minute he hears the sound of his lead. He loves being patted and sleeping in a cozy bed.
He is toilet trained and will sleep through the night without needing to be taken out to the toilet. Arthur has had a very difficult start to life and was not given clear boundaries by his previous owners. He will need go to a family that are confident with dogs as he does have a tendency to be stubborn if he doesn’t want to do as he is told.
His new family will need to continue to work on his training. He will have to go to a family with no children or with children over the age of 12. Although small and fluffy, Arthur can be a very dominant dog so he will probably be best as an only dog or with another older dog that will be able to keep Arthur in check.
He currently is in care in a home with 2 adults, 2 children above the age of 11 and 3 dogs (2 small and 1 mid-size). He is fine being outside while his foster family are at work but is an indoor dog whenever they are home. He would best suit a home where his new family is around a lot if he does not have another dog for company.
Arthur is an easy going dog and spends most of his time lounging in his bed and coming up for pats between naps. He is looking for his forever home with a family that will love him till the end of his days.
Located Chadstone.
