About Maddy ~ Corgi X Terrier (on trial 9/6/19)
Maddy is a 1 and a half year old female Corgi cross who is a bit shaggy with tan and white colour. This coat will need regular brushing which she is starting to get used to. If you throw her a ball she will love you forever!
Maddy is an energetic girl who is learning to be an inside dog with access to outside when she likes. She is going well with her toilet training which will need to continue. She is happy to sleep in our laundry.
Maddy needs to be an only dog. She likes her human and her toys all to herself and doesn’t understand how to interact with other dogs in these situations. Maddy loves to play with dog toys and will chase a ball forever. We put the ball in her water to encourage her to have a drink and then she brings the ball back for some more fun.
We are taking Maddy for short walks. She loves this activity and will need someone with patience to help her learn how to do this correctly and not be distracted by other dogs and people. The yard Maddy will live in needs to be colourbond and she needs to not be able to see out the front. Outside distractions can upset her.
Maddy is fine with older children who are respectful of animals. She would be better in a home without cats. She is ok when left on her own but as an only dog will need a home where she has human company a majority of the time.
For more information or to meet Maddy, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details. (2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
