Polly, Pickles and Peyton!
One of our parvo survivors Parker has now been adopted leaving these 3 lovelies ready and waiting for homes. As parvo has an incubation period of around 7/14 days this poor litter had contracted parvo well before they came into care and only to present with symptoms on their 3rd day with us. As a rescue we have sadly seen parvo before and this is a risk we just have to take when accepting puppy surrenders. This is why vaccines are so vital. Had this litter have been vaccinated on time at 6/8 weeks they may have been saved from contracting this deadly virus which has cost 7 of the other puppies from the litter who did not come into our care their lives. Parvo is an awful virus and these four pups are just a handful of the very, very lucky survivors as not many dogs live to see the other side.
They fought parvo hard and won and now all we want for them is to go to amazing forever homes. They are a large mix breed and super cute! These pups are great with other dogs and super affectionate. They love to play, learn quickly and are thriving in care. Although they were very sick with parvo they have no long term health impacts and simply need to keep eating good quality food continue to gain condition.
