About Noah
We are very proud to showcase our newest arrival Noah, a 14 week old Cavoodle puppy (born 8th January, 2019). He is a charming little fellow, full of fun and mischief – a typical puppy! He has a very high energy level and loves to run and play in the dirt and mud. What more could a puppy ask for?
The cavoodle is a hybrid of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle (toy or miniature). They have become increasingly popular over the last 10 years. The aim of crossbreeding was to minimise the genetic diseases that can be present in purebred dogs.
The cavoodle is a small dog that usually has a thick soft coat that can be wavy or straight. The muzzle is usually medium length and the eyes are large and brown. Being a crossbreed, their appearance can vary significantly from dog to dog. Their colour ranges from gold, tan, cream, black, brown – with or without markings in these colours. Weight range is between 5-12kg depending on the breed of the parents. They usually have a long coat when fully grown which does require some regular maintenance approximately every 6 weeks.
It is best to feed the cavoodle dry food as this breed is prone to tartar build up on their teeth. Noah must be kept on puppy food for the first 12 months of his life.
The cavoodle is a lively and very affectionate companion. They enjoy being part of the family unit and love to participate in the activities of the day. Cavoodles have a very gentle nature and can make wonderful companions for children. They can adapt to living in a small home as long as they receive adequate daily exercise. Cavoodles can be good guard dogs as they may bark when visitors arrive, however, they are not aggressive. They can be quite vocal and prone to separation anxiety so early socialisation and training is a must.
The cavoodle is an intelligent dog that thrives with regular training and human interaction.
They have a high energy level and are suitable for children over the age of 8.
Daily walks and regular trips to the dog park will keep help keep a cavoodle’s energy levels under control. Like all puppies, Noah will enjoy socialising with other dogs and should be encouraged to play with them. Another dog in the household would suit Noah although it is not a pre-requisite.
Noah’s personality is still being formed, but at this stage he is a happy, healthy and charming little puppy.
Applications to adopt this little guy are now being accepted. In the first instance, please email enquiries as directed. Kindly note: Submitting an application form does not guarantee you the puppy. All applicants will be judged on their suitability to the puppy.

Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
