No small children, teenagers OK.
No other dogs.
No cats.
Obedience school a must.
Hi my name is Rocky, I’m a lovely energetic young boy who knows how to sit, stay, drop, lay, heel, shake hands, kisses, hi 5, up, down and the word no! So in other words I know a lot of commands Smile
I have pedigree papers, I’m house trained, I can pull on the lead if you let me, especially when we first start out on a walk. Even though I’ve been taught a lot of commands I still need to go to obedience school to gain leadership skills with my new owner and learn how to socialise with other dogs. I really don’t like small dogs, they annoy me and have snapped and barked at me which I really don’t like.
I have a sensitive stomach so my new owner needs to continue with my special diet which will be explained when I’m adopted.
I love playing with tennis balls but I can get a bit obsessed with them so you have to limit my time playing with them.
I like to go running with my owner and play tug of war with a rope toy, I can play a bit rough so I can’t go to a home with small children.
There are some notes below from my behaviour assessment, my new owner will be given the full report in my adoption kit and it will also be emailed to them prior to meeting me.
Summary of Test –summary of observation and testing
• Rocky is a sociable dog with a calm but active disposition.
• He can become excitable easily excitable and can jump up when aroused, especially if you are at his
face level.
• Some minimal basic skills evident but recall when distracted needs some work. Recommend not to take
Rocky off lead as he may not respond/come when called.
• High drive for tug and ball. Lets go of tug but owner states he can be a little obsessive with the ball.
• Is able to regulate frustration and can wait patiently for the toy.
• Nil resource guarding and takes food gently from hand.
• Rough play/interaction with other dogs. Better with larger dogs but would recommend testing and slow
introduction.
• Nil reaction to stimuli, good resilience and nerve levels.
Adoption Criteria
• Any family situation – although recommend older children due to Rocky’s habit of jumping up to the face.
• Obedience training an absolute must
• Touch desensitisation recommended
