About Rupert
HI Folks! I'm Rupert and I am an enthusiastic lover of life, people, dogs, playing and exercise. I will tell you right now I am also a bit of a cat tormenter so if you have any of those, best to pass on me now. I am however, a lover of dogs and will enjoy life best with a playmate in my home.
I was very scared the day I was saved from the pound but I have come a long way. I can still be a little timid with some people but am great with kids who can take my enthusiasm. I am a bundle of energy and will need lots of play and exercise, but make no mistake, I will steal cuddles whenever I can!
I have mastered sit and stay and am learning new things well. I did like to tear some things up but who can blame me when my puppy stage has been neglected. My awesome foster family are super patient and give me lots of good attention and I'm learning that people like their things left in one piece. I love stuffed toys and will bring them back to you to keep playing.
I need to be fed separately to your other dog as I gulp and steal but I will be happy feasting on apple, carrots and cucumber but watermelon is my favourite! You can use these healthy food treats to train me.
Because I was rescued from the pound, no one knows much about my history but I'm prone to being a nervous-nelly when left alone at home so my ideal family would be something like retirees, someone who works from home, a stay at home parent or maybe a family where people work shift work. With time and maturity and some training from my family, I can definitely work to overcome this!
I'm really an ideal family dog as I have such a loving temperament and I'm so keen to be around my humans!
I am a good boy on lead and like to travel in the car so please come and fall in love with me and take me home to be your bestie.
