About Bertie
Hi! My name is Bertie but you can call me Bert.
I’m approximately a 1 year old male Australian Cattle Dog mix. I’m only a little fella but good things come in small packages! I’ve LOVED getting to know my foster carer and my new foster brother/sisters. At first, I acted pretty shy just to get the feel of the place.
After a week I couldn’t hold my excitement in any longer! I knew I was safe and I wanted these people to know I loved them! I love the new bed I get to sleep on, I love the food I get to eat, I love EVERYTHING! They even had to put a cone on my head after a trip to the vets and I loved that too! Who knew being a walking lampshade could be so much fun!?
I’ve learnt to play with toys, love a bit of tug a war and chase balls and I like to try and round up my Kelpie foster siblings when they play fetch. It’s so much fun! I’m toilet trained and I know that when foster mum she says “go toilet” I run as fast as I can to go do my business and then run straight back into my nice warm bed.
I’m crate training and still have lots of new things to learn and my new home will need time and patience to put into my ongoing training. I walk well on a lead right by your side and love the company of other dogs. I like kids, but not too sure about cats so am best suited to a home with no cats. I travel well in the car and have been for a few rides. I love cuddles on the couch at night time!
