About Astro - foster carer needed
Astro is a handsome 7months old boy who is looking for a foster home with the view to adopt.
He is currently located in Tasmania.
Astro is a cheeky little man, but he also has the most incredible little personality. He’s super clever but as equally stubborn 😂😂
He requires lots of exercise and mental stimulation or he does become destructive.
He could live with another another calm and patient female but must be willing to separate while not at home and supervise play as he does still mouth a lot and play rough..
Once he settles in his humping and hassling calm down - the foster carers would just have to be patient for that moment to come. He does play rough, but he’s easily distracted with a toy to play tug o war with the other dog. Astro mouthing nipping has calmed but he still loves jumping up so his home would be best with high school children.
He would benefit from a family with people that are home a lot and have a lot of time for him and give him plenty of guidance.
No cats.
Bull terrier experience is preferred.
Astro is crate trained.
While in foster care all his needs will be supplied by Victorian Bull Terrier Rescue - crate, bedding, kennel, food etc. You will also have a Bully Buddy which is one of VBTR’s board member who will be your support and help with vet appointments if needed .
Please if you think you are the right home for Astro fill in a form on the link below
Adoption details
VBTR places all dogs in a foster care agreement, before moving forward on adoptions. All foster applications received will be assessed and those that meet the needs of the dog will have house & suitability checks. From there, approved applicants will have the opportunity to foster with a view to adopt. Most go onto be ‘foster fails’ and adopt these beautiful bullies. VBTR work tirelessly to ensure successful foster to adopt placements for the benefit of both dogs and humans alike! Bully Buddies are assigned to every dog support this process.
