About Jack
Introducing Jack, our big dog in a tiny body!
Jack is a very loving, confident boy. He loves cuddles and learning new things. Jack came to us with some resource guarding issues and dominance issues, however with routine, boundaries and the permission to act more like a dog, we have seen him relax, enjoy life, and begin to look to his people for more direction.
Jack currently lives with other playful dogs, and he would love a desexed, adult playmate in his new home. A calm, similar sized dog will be very beneficial in keeping him from being bored and developing bad habits when left alone.
Jack is crate trained, toilet trained, and loves to sunbake on warm days. He sleeps inside, and this will need to continue in his new home - he is a part of the family.
Jack loves his toys! Especially the ones that squeak - due to his resource guarding from both people and other animals in the past, he needs structured playtime and toys to come out and go away under your terms, not his.
He has a good recall, and stays close by when off-leash without distractions.
We are looking for a relatively active person, willing to take this active little dude on daily walks and keep his mind busy with some training and games.
He would be best suited to a home without young children and an owner who has past experience with pet ownership, a basic knowledge of dog body language, and are prepared to offer Jack the time and space he needs to feel safe and secure.
Jack has never lived with cats and we have not had the opportunity to assess him with them. For this reason, Jack will be looking for a home with NO CATS.
**Before coming to us, Jack suffered an injury to his left eye. He is a happy boy and it is not causing him any discomfort at this stage - he simply cannot see very well through it. It is purely physical and will not affect the vision in his right eye**
If you think you may be just who we are looking for, we would love for you to send through an enquiry and tell us why!
Jack is located in Ballarat.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
