About Darcy ~ Labrador X Mastiff (on trial 7/4/19)
Look at that amazing shiny black coat! This very handsome young fellow is Darcy. He is a Labrador x Mastiff and is around 12 weeks old.
This boy is made for loving and would make a great play mate for someone. He has a chilled nature and adores lots of attention probably because he has been deprived in his very short life. He would happily follow you around and hang with you whenever he could. He does entertain himself with his toys when home alone.
Darcy has started his basic training and learning to sit, stay and come when called. He enjoys a short walk but obvious not been on lead before. He is trying very hard on the toilet training front and been going on the grass when taken out and using a puppy pee pad when inside to sleep.
He is a very smart little man and will thrive on learning lots of new skills so taking this boy to puppy training would be very beneficial. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Darcy loves his food and scoffs it down with his brother without issue. He does get a bit protective of his treats such as a bone or chew so a bit of quiet time when he gets something helps. He sleeps through the night.
Darcy loves his time inside so will need to be a family member. He does play exceptionally well with bigger dogs. Having a furry friend would be a plus but if someone is home some of the time this wouldn’t need to be an essential. He has spied the cats through the window and doesn’t seem to get too excited.
As Darcy is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
If you want to give Darcy a new home can you contact his foster mum Sharron by texting 0423 331057 or emailing sstudley3@bigpond.com Darcy is located at Merewether Heights, NSW.
Darcy's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy
