Gumnut is a highly intelligent boy that has in the past been well trained, his ball skills are fantastic and his ability to know what to do with it when he retrieves is great. He knows commands to sit, drop, drop ball, stay etc. I love spending time with him - although when it's time to stop he just relaxes with the balls. He loves big cuddles and he has a very affectionate nature. He is fully toilet trained and loves his dinner showing no sign of food aggression around my dog. He waits patiently to be fed.
Lead training is going very well as he loves to get out and walk with lots of excitement. No pulling, he is friendly to other dogs - tolerant of cats and birds etc. He is a very curious boy that loves to stop and take in all his surroundings.
Toys are a must around him and company is great. I feel he will be well adjusted in a yard on his own for short periods of time but he may start to bark at activity around him, a short " NO" to him will stop his behaviour.
He is an extremely well behaved Kelpie boy that I know would be a best friend and companion to a single person, couple, or family - He would be at his happiest when he has a lot of exercise - so I would highly recommend a life of activity. Older kids would suit him best as he could bowl over little ones in his excitement.
He responds really well to commands and wants to learn more.
In short, he is a real gem with lots of love to give - those sleepy eyes when he cuddles you are a real treat.
Located Diamond Creek.
