About Jelly
Jelly was so named because she was quivering in fear when she arrived.
From the day she was born till the day she was surrendered to the Pound, her life was spent in a small dirt yard 24/7.
In the beginning she had a phobia about venturing even a short distance from the kennels.
She was like a log on the leash but with small amounts of time spent with her often, she was walking happily on a loose leash in no time.
Even something as simple as asking her to sit was terrifying for her, it took a while but she now has the confidence to sit whenever she’s asked.
Jelly’s a good traveller in the car, stretching her lean frame out across the back seat. She’s been having some crate training, which is going very well.
Jelly’s been mixing with many different dogs and pups and gets along beautifully with everyone.
This soft natured girl has obviously experienced some rough house treatment in her short life, which leads me to think that a home with a lady as her primary caregiver might be best for her. That said, I know there are some wonderfully kind and gentle men out there, who she would be fine with once she realised they weren’t going to hurt her - so please feel free to apply!
She would thrive in a home where she could be with her family both inside and outside.
Jelly’s journey with me since she arrived really makes me feel like I’ve salvaged another soul off the scrap heap - a scrap heap that shouldn’t exist but does.
Jelly’s in care at Moree, NSW. Moree has daily flights to Sydney and further afield. Dog road transportation is another fortnightly option.
We have set Jelly’s adoption fee low to assist with her relocation costs.
