About Lilly ~ Wolfhound X (on trial 7/4/19)
Hi there, my name is Lilly and I am a Wolfhound x. It is estimated that I am around 9 weeks old. No one is really sure as I haven’t had the best past but me and my sibling were lucky enough that Dog Rescue Newcastle took us in and carers are now looking after us. It has been great but what I really want is a new home, someone to call me their puppy.
I am a little on the timid side but I get so excited when I see you, my little tail wags so fast. I am sure once I get to know you I will become a confident pup. I love my food and have already started some training, well I am trying to learn to sit and come when called. My favourite thing at the moment is a tummy rub. I could lay there all day if someone would rub my tummy. My foster mum thinks I look like a cuddly teddy bear!
I am gentle so should be good with children but remember I do have sharp puppy teeth.
I love other big dogs so having an older dog as a mentor would be a plus. I go to the toilet on the grass but I have used an inside doggy pet mat as well. If you take me out often, I am sure I will master toilet training. I love playing with dog toys so a few of those would be good too.
Since I am only a puppy someone willing to train me and take me to puppy training would be fantastic as I am going to grow to a medium size dog.
I will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as I would be too lonely on my own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
I need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. You need good fencing with no small gaps. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Lilly is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Lilly, please contact Sharron by emailing sstudley3@bigpond.com or texting 0423 331057 as she is taking all the enquiries for her. Lilly is in Valentine, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Lilly’s adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
