The beautiful dog with the sweetest, prettiest face. One look into her expressive, soulful eyes and she will melt you.

Tala’s background is largely unknown but she came to the pound with another young female dog and both were underweight, timid and in mediocre shape. Despite her condition she’s showed no signs of food aggression and is a dainty eater, she will happily eat out of the same bowl as her foster fur brother. She is now back up to her optimal weight and is fit and healthy.

Tala shows a few symptoms of a lack of socialisation. It took her some time to wag her tail and show signs of acknowledging me properly, though she bonded instantly with her foster fur brother and he gives her the confidence she needs to try new things. It is therefore essential there is another young, confident dog in her forever home to teach her everything is fun and OK.

She is the type of dog that you’ll slowly need to win over but when you do you’ll feel a massive sense of accomplishment. She wants to please and is very intelligent. She knows sit, wait, shake, is toilet trained (will stand at the back door to be let out) and is also crate trained. She is great in the car, doesn’t pull on the lead and loves water.

Inside the home she is now like any normal dog, she’s cheeky, plays tug and occasionally jumps up on her humans in excitement but outside the home she is shy of the world around her. She needs an owner/s that will take her out and about but only at her pace so she learns life is beautiful and interesting.

Upon meeting a cat she was equally confused and friendly. No aggression, I believe given her young age and sweet nature, that she would happily live with a cat given a slow controlled introduction and with a cat not afraid to show her who’s boss.

I believe younger children would be too much for her, so no children under 16.
