About Harry
Well hi there, my name is Harry.
I was surrendered to Lort Smith as my previous carers were unable to provide me with the attention that I require.
The staff and volunteers here at Lort Smith say that I am a super friendly, cuddly and laid back sort of a fellow. I am great with other friendly and well-mannered dogs and even though I am older, I do love to have a little play.
Going to a home with another calm natured doggy friend or someone that has family or friends with friendly dogs would suit me quite well.
My new family will have to groom me on a regular basis due to my breed. I have in the past had to have grass seeds removed from in between my paw pads and I would hate for this to happen again - ouch!
I recently had a dental to clean my teeth, so I will need ongoing management to keep them looking their best.
I also have some early changes in both my knees which suggests arthritis. I will most likely require pain relief, supplements or other therapeutic supports in the future. At present, I am on a four week course of anti inflammatory injections, so I will be foster to adopt until my last dose. At which time I can be officially adopted with an adoption disclaimer for arthritis.
If you think I would make a great addition to your family, please call the Adoption Hub to book in a meet and greet - 9321 7240.
Medical notes
Ongoing management to keep teeth healthy. Early changes in knees may suggest arthritis in the future.
