About Monty
Are you about tranquillity and lovely quiet times? So is Monty, a 10-year old and much loved boy with brown eyes and a black, grey and white coat. Monty is a beautiful older gentlemen who loves nothing more than a nap on the couch, some chicken and an ear scratch. He loves adventures (on a lead) but is equally content to curl up in bed with you.
Through an unfortunate visa situation, and no fault of his own, Monty is in need of a forever home after being adopted from a shelter a year ago, and we’re here to find Monty a quiet and calm home where he can enjoy his final years and love his people.
Monty’s current people adopted him from the pound, so we don’t have lots of information on his history, but he is able to sit on command, and come when his name is called. Outside of the house when he’s on his walks, everything is far more exciting than listening to commands! So he’s a typical husky like that.
Monty is well behaved and walks well on lead after the initial excitement dies down, and he’s calm with kids and larger dogs when he’s out walking. Little dogs don’t impress him much, and he doesn’t like having a frighten, so we’re after a household that won’t startle him too much.
Monty is a quiet elder statesman who will dig little nests in the yard to snooze in and will bury his toys, but he’s happy to stop there. He’s not an escape artist or fence jumper.
Monty thinks cats are great fun to chase, so the usual husky rules apply with a secure, 6ft husky-proof fence and no cats or pocket pets. We’d prefer a household with no kids as he’s very much about the quiet life these days.
