About Jelly π
This boy is by far, the toughest furkid on the block! Jelly has the body of a Pug, the face of a Frenchie and the attitude of a spoilt brat....but underneath that tough guy personality, is a Frug that loves his belly rubs, will play fetch all day and have you laughing daily. To see and experience this, you need to become pack leader from day 1.
Boundaries and consistency is what this boy needs, and whilst he has improved dramatically since arriving in care, he will continue to push boundaries to get his own way. Jelly was quite overweight when he arrived, and still has some weight to lose, but he has now learnt that what he wants is not necessarily what he gets. To give you an example, Jelly loves his car rides, and he's great company....but if you think you can sneak through the drive through at McDonalds or KFC without him knowing about it, your sadly mistaken lol....no more cheeseburgers for this little fatty! Be prepared for a tantrum while placing your order and picking up the food.
Jelly loves his walks and would benefit greatly from 1-2 walks each day. He doesn't take much notice of other dogs, people or bikes, he simply enjoys being out and about. If you're planning on allowing Jelly to live both inside and outside as part of the family, be prepared for tantrums when you want him to have 'outside time'.... in his foster home, he is currently outside only and does have another foster dog buddy to keep him company (Labrador). He has no issues being left on his own in this situation. While he is dog social, if he feels threatened, or worried that another dog will take his food, there will be issues, so for this reason, we are looking for an only dog home for this little guy, but will consider a home with another dog if they are the right match for each other.
Since arriving in care, Jelly has been on good quality weight loss food (which he's not impressed about) and this is something he will need to stay on until he reaches a healthy weight. He has many of the same qualities as that of a child that tests your patience and pushes the boundaries....so if you're a big softy who can't say 'no', this cheeky boy is most certainly not the one for you!
Jelly does not cope well with young children. He can also be quite intimidating when new people come into the home, but once he gets to know them, he's ok. For this reason, we will not be rehoming him into a home with kids under the age of 12yrs.
If you can provide tough love, a stable loving home and you are an experienced dog owner, then Jelly may be the perfect addition to your home. His cheeky, but lovable personality will have you laughing daily!
Jelly is located in Killarney Vale on the Central Coast NSW. It's been a rewarding journey with this little guy but he deserves his very own forever home π

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous boy. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
