About Ruby
When Ruby first came into care she had an infected and ruptured eye, infected teeth and two quite large hernias. Many surgeries and recovery time later and the dog that could barely walk next door is now running and playing on the beach!
We don’t know Ruby’s exact age but vets estimate somewhere between four and seven years.
Ruby is a happy, little girl who loves to explore the garden. What she really loves though is her humans. She isn’t fond of laps but will happily curl up next to you for plenty of pats.
Ruby is frightened of big dogs and isn’t a fan of being left home alone so will be better suited to a home with somebody home most days. We haven’t had her around children very much but wouldn’t recommend for kids under high school age simply because she can still be a bit nervous of hands coming unexpectedly towards her from her blind side.
If you think you may have the perfect home for our special girl please contact us on 0429 429885 to find out more or to arrange to meet her.
Ruby has been heartworm tested as negative. We aren’t really sure what breed Ruby is but think there is some Australian Terrier. When her fur grows out in full she looks a bit wirey coated but is surprisingly soft to pat.
