About:
Tayet is a beautiful white kit-teen who has already been a mother!
Tayet came into care skinny and small, only 2.2kg, covered with fleas and with her three little kittens. She struggled a little at first, but with lots of TLC and good food, Tayet gained the much-needed weight and life is looking up for this young mother! With all her kittens adopted and moved out, Tayet is now looking for a home of her own.
Tayet has always been quietly affectionate, but as soon as the last of her kittens moved out, she completely turned a corner and has been seeking pats, and her new favourite spot to chill and nap is on the back of the lounge where she is available for pats or can pop down for a full on cuddle whenever she pleases. Tayet has also become a super star purrer! Purring pretty much as soon as you start patting her. She also loves snuggling into and under soft blankets and ‘baby pawing/kneading’ on soft blankets and pillows as she purrs her heart out. Tayet is also known to enjoy borrowing her face into your neck and even have a little nap, when she cuddles with you when you’re lying down.
Tayet does occasionally like to play and chase a toy or two but is a very calm young cat who is content to nap, cuddle and laze about the house all day.
Tayet loves her food and will usually squeak and meow quietly up at you when you are preparing her meals and bringing her the bowl. But she is a polite young lady and will often wait where she knows her food is put down, rather than rushing around the place – like the crazy kittens in her foster home.
Tayet gets along well with other cats after a good introduction and settling in. She will grumble and whine a little at adult cats until she gets used to them but does not start anything and quickly calms down and gets used to them when they are friendly/ignore her. She got used to the other younger kittens in her foster home really fast, and does not mind them being about her, except if they get to close or in her face, but then she just gives them a warning tap. I believe that with a bit of time, and a friendly cat or kitten, she will tolerate and even come to enjoy having another cat cuddle up with her, as the other younger kittens in her foster home are persistently asking and sneaking cuddles with her (mostly when she’s sleepy) and have already made huge progress in their efforts in only a really short time. She’s already been found sleeping with a foster kitten curled up against her several times.
Tayet is untested with dogs.
Tayet is untested with children, however I think she would do really well with children of all ages. This is because Tayet has is a very calm and quietly affectionate cat that has never attempted to scratch or bite anyone in her foster home or shown any sort of aggressive behaviour towards humans. She likes being picked up – and is starting to even purr while being carried – and even if she’s not too happy, she has not scrambled or scratched her way out of being held. Tayet has never put a claw or paw wrong and doesn’t mind attention at any time and is not a cat that is easily overwhelmed or stressed.
