About Widget
Meet Widget! This gorgeous boy is looking for a place to call home.
Widget came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender and has settled well into foster care. He's an easygoing, active, affectionate boy who seems to get along with everyone he meets. He has lived with a variety of animals in the past including a cat, a large breed dog and birds and got along with them all. He is living happily with a pet chicken at the moment in foster care. Widget is not a barker but will bark to let you know someone is at the door. He is also calm around children and enjoys the company of older children who can play and interact with him.
Widget walks well on the lead although can pull a little occasionally so may need some guidance to assist this. He is housetrained and knows some basic commands. He is scared of loud noises and thunderstorms, so will need to be kept safely inside in bad weather.
Widget loves to run on the beach and play 'soccer' and fetch, one day his carer forgot to take a ball to the beach so he played fetch with a rock instead!
Widget will need an active home where he's included in everyday life, and his owners will need to make time daily to play and interact with him. He would love two good walks each day, and a secure, good sized yard to run around. He also needs to be allowed inside - he loves to be with his humans especially to snuggle at night.
If Widget sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please fill in an application and we'll be in touch.
