Hi I’m Tonka. I’m a happy friendly girl who likes to play but I’m also happy to just lie at your feet and hang out with my humans. I love to play fetch and chew on my toys. I get so excited when I see you that I do a happy dance and sing a staffy song. I love car rides and like to sniff the whole way to smell the new exciting smells.
I will need secure fencing as sometimes I can get a bit nervous when you leave. I will need lots of activities like bones and toys when you go out, a friend would be nice too.
Since I’ve been in foster care I have been living with kids, chooks, ducks and other dogs. We have all been getting along well once we got to know each other. I would love another playful doggy friend as I love to run and play.
I am learning some basic commands, I am good at paying attention and am a fast learner. With consistent boundaries I will excel. I am very food motivated which is great for training.
I would be suited to most homes although I would prefer older children as I can get a bit excited and knock little ones over and don’t want to hurt them.
