Barkley

So my name is Barkley, I did get rehomed, but I didn’t like the cat (or maybe I liked the cat too much!), so unfortunately I came back and am now looking for my forever home, that doesn’t have cats.

So with the bad stuff about me said, let me tell you all my awesome qualities.

I love kids! I think they are amazing. And I’m gentle with them, and kids give the best cuddles. Talking about cuddles, I love them as well. I’m super affectionate and love to be a lap dog. Well, I’m a bit big for that, so next to you is fine.

I’d really like it if I could sleep in my foster carers bed at night. But I’m not allowed in that room, unless invited. So I sleep inside in the lounge room and sleep all night and don’t have any accidents. I’m house trained, and used to spending my days outside. But I like to be inside as part of the family when they are home.

Dogs are really awesome too! I get along with dogs. And I’m really good at reading social queues. I love to play and rumble and also just chill out with them. I’m very social with dogs, both female and male. And I really need a dog in my new home that will keep me company so I don’t get bored by myself.

I’m a big dog, but I’m super quick! And I love going out on walks and strolls too. Even though I’m a bigger dog, I walk right beside you in a perfect heal. Just don’t tie me up with my lead, because then I’ll want to eat it. But you should be with me anyway. I don’t need a lot of exercise. That thing they say about greyhounds being somewhat lazy, is kinda me. As long as I get out or something exciting happens, I just chill the rest of the time.

I’m not an escape artist. And have shown no signs or jumping out or digging out. But I’m pretty skinny, so if I can squeeze through a gap I will, just to explore. I’m also really quiet. I don’t see the point of talking.

I love my food, and am always hungry. Trust me, I get feed a lot, but my genetics keep me slim.

I really just want a place to call home, where I can continue to be a good boy. And where I can be someone’s best mate and family member. I’m not designed to live in the back yard 24/7.

I am only listed as being available for adoption due to living on the NSW/Vic border. I will not be placed on transport for adoption.
