About Bones
Please note: Not cat tolerant.
Hi, my name is Bones & I am looking for my furever family. I am a 29kg Black male and I am called Bones because I am tall & lanky. I love being inside with people but I am best as an outside dog when you need to leave the house.
I would be best as an onky dog or with another easy going female dog for company.
I don’t really like other excitable or grouchy dogs, especially smaller grumpy dogs, who bark at me or rush up at me.
I haven’t achieved my muzzle exemption yet due to this reason. But I’m trying to learn and my foster mum is trying her best to teach me. Some dogs I am ok with, big or small, but others I just don’t like. Kinda like hoomans, they don’t always like certain peoples either. Right? Same fur me.
This isn't a problem when walking generally as long as you remember this and don't take me to a place where other dogs may be off lead and likely to approach me. I need to be introduced slowly and with nice dogs.
I am just not comfortable with certain dogs.
My BTG friends say there is the perfect people out there for me., and they won’t mind if I don’t have a muzzle exemption yet. They will love me for me. I sure hope they are right.
Did I say I love people? I love meeting people and absolutely love, love, love cuddles. I will follow you everywhere. While I haven't lived with children, the ones I have met I am gentle and patient with them. I would like kids who are a bit older to live with just cuz I do have my more energetic times, especially if I am playing with a squeaky toy, and coins knock little ones around.,but most of the time I am Happy to just cuddle into you on the sofa. If you think you could be the right peoples for me, and don’t care if I have to wear a muzzle when walking, then please let BTG know, so you can come visit me! I promise I will show you what a good boy I am!
I look forward to meeting you soon! Paws crossed!
Love Bones
Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
